Terms of Use

Draft — under legal review before publication. The provider's legal name, address, and governing law will be confirmed here.
1. What these terms cover
These terms are an agreement between you and the provider of FamPlan (the iOS app and its household sync service). By creating an account or using FamPlan, you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. The service
FamPlan helps a household plan its week: schedules, pickups, chores, meals, groceries, lists, events, and reminders. Core planning features are free. Optional paid features are offered as the FamPlan Plus subscription.
FamPlan is currently in beta. Features may change, and beta access to paid features may end when the paid tier launches.
3. Accounts and eligibility
- You must be an adult (18 or older, or the age of majority where you live) to create a FamPlan account.
- Children do not create accounts. Child profiles are records created and managed by the adults in a household.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity under your account.
- Provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
4. Your household and invites
- A household is shared between adults who join it with an invite code. Only share an invite with someone you want to have full access to the household's plan.
- Every adult in a household can see and edit the shared plan, including profiles, schedules, meals, chores, and lists.
- Do not join or attempt to access a household you were not invited to.
5. FamPlan Plus
- FamPlan Plus is an auto-renewing subscription purchased through Apple's App Store, billed to your Apple account.
- One subscription covers the whole household: when one adult subscribes, Plus features are unlocked for every member. Joining a subscribed household by invite costs nothing extra.
- Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your App Store subscription settings; deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Prices may change; Apple will notify you as required, and changes apply only to later renewal periods. Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policies.
6. Your content
- Everything your household adds — names, photos, schedules, recipes, lists — remains yours.
- You grant the provider only the limited license needed to store, sync, and display that content to your household. It is never sold, used for advertising, or shared outside your household.
- You are responsible for what you add, including having the right to share photos you upload, and for what you choose to share with the other adults in your household.
7. Acceptable use
Do not:
- use FamPlan for anything unlawful, or to store content that is unlawful to store;
- probe, disrupt, or overload the service, or attempt to access other households' data;
- reverse-engineer the service except where the law permits it;
- resell or white-label the service without written permission.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to keep FamPlan available and your household in sync, but the service is provided without uptime guarantees. Features may be added, changed, or removed. If a change materially reduces what a paid subscription includes, you can cancel and Apple's refund policies apply.
9. Disclaimers
FamPlan is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. FamPlan is a planning aid: reminders can be delayed or missed by the device or network, and the app is not a substitute for your own judgment about your family's safety and obligations — school pickups included.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the provider is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data caused by factors outside its reasonable control. Total liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid for FamPlan Plus in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
11. Ending use and deletion
- You can stop using FamPlan at any time and delete your account from the Account screen in the app.
- If other adults remain in the household, your account is detached and the household stays with them. If you are the last adult, the household's cloud data is deleted, as described in the Privacy Policy.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, after notice where practical.
12. Changes to these terms
If these terms change materially, the updated version will be published here with a new effective date, and the app or an email will point it out before it takes effect. Continuing to use FamPlan after that date means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, and disputes belong to the competent courts there — without limiting any consumer protections you have under the mandatory law of the country where you live.
